Our team loves each other as well as who we serve, and this can be felt in our warm atmosphere and seen in our fast, friendly, and attentive service. A kind voice will always greet you on the phone, and a smile will welcome you through our doors as our team makes sure every detail of your dental experience leads to you feeling comfortable and satisfied.
Rocio, Office Manager
Rocio has been a member of our team for well over five years now. Originally from Mexico, she speaks both Spanish and English. Additionally, she has her Dental Assistant II certification. What she enjoys most about her role at Next Door Dental is getting to help wonderful patients!
At home, Rocio has a son and a dog named Lucas. Some of her favorite hobbies in her free time include cooking, walking, going to the movies, and enjoying a good martini.
Kelley, Registered Dental Hygienist
Kelley loves working with a team that feels like a big family. For over two decades, she has enjoyed getting to know our patients and building trusting and personal relationships with them. She began her dental career in 2001 as an assistant while still in high school, and she went on to graduate from the hygiene program at Virginia Western Community College-Danville.
Kelley and her husband have a wonderful blended family that includes three children, and they love going on adventures together, whether this involves hiking to waterfalls or breaking out of escape rooms. She is also a very crafty person who is always working on a DIY project, such as making sublimation T-shirts.
Carrie, Registered Dental Hygienist
Carrie has loved getting to know patients during her 15+ years as a dental hygienist. She is a true people person and is always happy to greet someone new or catch up with a familiar face. She attended hygiene school through GTCC and stays on top of the latest findings by taking continuing education every year.
A Baltimore native, Carrie married her high school sweetheart, and they have two daughters, one grandson, and two “crazy” boxer dogs. Her favorite thing to do is spend quality time with her family, whether this involves bowling, Top Golf, or doing escape rooms together.
Tina, Registered Dental Hygienist
Tina loves being a part of a dedicated team that consistently goes out of its way to deliver exceptional patient care and service. She graduated with honors from the dental hygiene program at GTCC in 2009 and now has her certification to administer local anesthesia.
Tina comes from Greensboro, and life at home is delightfully busy for her and her husband thanks to their two teens and six fur babies. She is very active in animal rescue through the local county shelter and usually has at least one foster dog in addition to the normal “crazy” crew.
Cara, Registered Dental Hygienist
Cara has been a part of the dental world for over 25 years! She likes how her job always keeps her on her toes because the team constantly adapts to a patient’s needs throughout their treatment process. She started her career as a dental assistant before earning her hygiene degree at UMDNJ/Rutgers University. Today, she is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and has certifications in nitrous oxide and local anesthesia.
Cara is originally from Montclair, NJ, and she is married with two sons as well as a cat named Monster. Her favorite ways to relax include going antiquing/thrifting, reading about history and architecture, listening to audiobooks, and watching animated movies.
Andrew, Hygienist Assistant / Sterilization Tech
Andrew says that the best thing about his job is having the chance to learn something new every day! Anytime he has a question, our dentists and hygienists will happily answer it, allowing him to deliver even better service to our patients.
A Greensboro native, Andrew is the middle child among 2 older sisters, a younger twin sister, and a younger brother! On the weekends, you’ll usually find him mowing lawns (he actually likes doing it), going to exotic car shows, and playing hockey.
Melissa, Dental Assistant II
Melissa has been with our practice for over a decade and in dentistry for over 35 years! She began her education at GTCC before finishing at UNC and has been happily serving multiple generations of patients since.
Melissa has been married to Phillip for 20+ years, and they love to travel to the mountains of NC and Tennessee, usually in their Volkswagen bug. She’s also a big animal lover—she has three dogs and does transports for local animal rescue groups to help find them good homes.
Sarah, Dental Assistant
Sarah brings over two decades of experience to our team, and she says her goal is to help every patient feel as comfortable as possible in the dental chair. A graduate of GTCC, she served as an oral surgery assistant for 20 years.
Sarah is from Greensboro and likes spending her free time with her husband and stepson, ideally while soaking up the sun at the beach or while hiking.
Mikaela, Front Desk
Mikaela always enjoys helping our patients gain a whole new understanding of their insurance so she can take the uncertainty out of the claims process. She attended the EduDent School of Dental Assisting and is originally from Greensboro.
When she isn’t working, Mikaela loves self-care such as getting her hair and nails done, and she also likes to shop for shoes and cook for loved ones.
