Advanced Dental Technology Greensboro

Looking More, Showing More, & Doing More

We’ve invested in the latest dental technology not only because it allows us to work faster and with more precision, but it also enables us to be more transparent. Rather than simply telling you what is going on in your mouth and why you need a certain procedure, we can show you in a lot of detail, keeping you in the driver’s seat when it comes to your care. This collaborative approach leads to better personalization and peace of mind, giving people even more reasons to smile when they visit us.

Digital Impressions

Before we place a veneer, denture, or crown in someone’s mouth, we need to make sure it fits, and that is often done by taking an impression. This creates a model of the teeth we can use to design their treatment. In the past, this was done by having the patient bite into a mold of dental putty, which isn’t exactly a pleasant experience. But now, we just scan the mouth with a small device, and it generates a perfect digital model in minutes.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

In just seconds, our CT scanner spins and takes dozens of images of the head and mouth, and then they’re pieced together by software to make a 3D model of a patient’s dental anatomy. It shows us both rows of teeth in a single image as well as the jaws, structure of the upper airway, and more. This gives us all the information we need to plan more complicated procedures like dental implant placement or evaluate someone for sleep apnea.

Digital Cavity Detection System

Instead of just poking your teeth looking for cavities, we can take a more sophisticated approach with our CariVu light. We simply point it at each of a patient’s teeth, and depending on the color, it reveals whether or not someone is developing decay or a cavity. This helps us find trouble spots WAY sooner than the old method, meaning we can intervene faster and fix many problems before you ever notice them.

Intraoral Camera

Imagine being able to see your mouth from your dentist’s perspective-- that’s exactly what we can do with our intraoral camera! A long, thin instrument that captures high-definition images of the teeth and gums, we can show you what we’re seeing on a large chairside monitor to ensure that you and our team are always on the same page when it comes to your oral health and treatment needs. And, we can also show you how much better your teeth look following a procedure!
